Pet squirrels?

I have a baby squirrel it was born in the zoo and its now about 8 weeks old i'm needing some advice on how to care for it. one of my main questions is bathing it to rid it of fleas.Pet squirrels?
Maybe a dry powder would work better, for some reason getting a squirrel to take a bath (peacefully) doesn't come to mind.Pet squirrels?
You can use a dust but i would probably suggest those little containers of liquid flea and tick repellent for dogs there are usually 4 in a package and last about a month each one has about a half ounce or less of liquid in it You can buy it at walmart .Or a liquid spray repellent for cats and dogs .use the spray repellent inside his house or what ever he stays in spray the inside of it good .I used to have 4 baby squirrels and i cut a hollow log out of a tree for them to live in .It wont do much good to treat him if you don't treat the area he lives in
You should go see a vet. It may have dangerous desises for you and your pet. You should also ask him on how to take care of it.

Good luck

A zoo born squirrel with fleas.. did the squirrel have the fleas when you got it and if so, shame on the zoo.

Flea eradication on mammals:

5% Sevin dust, commonly found in all major brands of pet flea powder works quite well and I am sure that the squirrel will like dry much better than wet. Just dust with the powder and make sure that it reaches the skin and try to keep the powder out of the eyes, nose and mouth.
